Crossing the streets in the center you will reach Piazza Cavour, from here via Palestro, where the arch is the Palazzo della Misericordia, built in the ‘30s.
Are followed by the Church of San Francesco which dates back to the thirteenth century. Behind it stands the Sanctuary of Santa Verdiana.
Continuing uphill you reach Piazza del Popolo, where on the left stands the Palazzo del Comune, rebuilt after a fire in 1544 and restored in 1867.
Very nice place to visit is undoubtedly the church of Saints Ippolito and Biagio, built in 1195 of brick and patterned ceramic facade.
Outside of downtown Castelfiorentino, worth visiting are: the Oratory of St Laurence and Barbara and the beautiful parish church of Saints Peter and Paul in Coiano.
